Any more info on the contents? Steam Workshop support will be the biggest change, plus a number of smaller changes. Oh, that will be very nice! I can't wait to subscribe to my favorite reactor companies.

Yeah, that's pretty huge.

Fire up the hype-r drive. Wait, wrong hardness of sci-fi. But we do have hypergolic drives. :D

But we do have hypergolic drives. :D Hypergolic drives suck, sadly. They're useful for reasons not modelled by the game. You can't have thousands of cryogenic fluorine-hydrogen missiles and expect them to be reliable.

Would fluorine-anything really engines need much help igniting tough? And if boil-off would be modeled, hydrogen would suck even more. In that case, I might switch my methane MPDT's for water MPDT's.

Yeah, I know. I wanted to see rocket ignitions and boil-off being modeled in this game, too. I'm not too keen on it personally. I doubt making the AI behave with engines that take 5+ seconds to start will be feasible unless CDE's development continues into the long term of decades. Complex rocketry is as much outside the scope of the current game as complex sensors... which is to say it's technically not at all out of scope but the problems with seamless implementation and difference it makes without first adding some kind of 4X layer to the game is relatively small.

Modelling ignition would make antimatter-initiated fusion kind of possible, and cryogenic boil-off+hydrogen escape for realism. Speaking about engine starting time, what is the starting time for the NTRs?
