After reading an article on Centauri Dreams about a hypothesis that says that stars might have consciousness, I got an idea for a minigame (sort of). If Earth is a person, what do you expect them to be like? (If you don't get the idea, search for 'planet personification') And their views on humanity? Kerr - Earth: "Having a raging hatred against humanity." Source - Humanity as seen by Earth: "Imagine living together with a person in an apartment, he is lazy, doesn't wash dishes, doesn't clean his used clothes, is an idiot, constantly breaks your stuff and even eats the last piece of the cake which was reserved for you! That guy is called "Humanity"." apophys - Earth: "Earth is that weird college kid who keeps various insect collections in her garage and bedroom. Humans are her most voracious ant farm, which she shows off to all her friends, who are subsequently horrified." Have some picture of Earth (Taken by DSCOVR, 7 June 12017)

If humanity was a person, it'd be named Muhammad Lee, would be in his or her mid-thirties, would have limited access to fresh water and food, and lives in a coastal city in China. He or she speaks English as a non-native language. He or she has somewhat less than $10,000 USD of capital and cash.
For that person, Earth is a place with a lot of other people, very little land, and not enough work.

There's actually been a hypothesis batting around the scientific community for some time called the 'Gaia hypothesis', which basically states that the Earth is a living semi-sentient entity with a personality who directs evolution of life on its surface for its own benefit.
There isn't a lot of support for this hypothesis, and most scientists I know consider it to be fringe at best, but it's out there.

I know, but sometimes the mycelium networks work. that is more of a super organism or networked ecosystem with interdependent cooperation. Perhaps in the same way a beehive, ant nest or human tribe might act in a biologically supported advanced behavior. A million acre wood networked for both nutrition and moisture by a single fungus organism is very real, but it isn't a planet.

Well, not exactly Gaia, but it's good to see natural cooperation, though.

It's the idea that the Earth itself is a semi-intelligent, self-regulating entity that is doubted.

And their views on humanity? Something that was initially an integral part of the organism that turned into a dangerous life form that draws resources of the organism to itself to fuel its uncontrolled growth? A cancer, basically. Yes, that has been repeated so many times it became cheesy.
